CAS in Biometrics Programme
The overall goal of the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Biometrics and Privacy (CAS) is to teach concepts and technologies in this field and provide students with a full understanding of data protection, privacy preservation, compliance with privacy regulations and potential privacy losses.

What you will study: complete insights on privacy-preserving biometric authentication, challenges and methods
Main objective: understand the basic concepts of cryptography
What you will study: Methodology, systematic and leading principles of the European data protection legislation (GDPR)

M5 - Ethics, Culture and Society
What you will study: Introduction to the main questions and concepts on ethical and cultural impacts of biometric technologies as well their consequences on society
Main objective: understand the main ethical impacts of biometric and identification technologies
M6 - Forensic Science
What you will study: The use of biometrics systems in forensic science around the world. The use and misuse of face, fingerprint and DNA by law enforcement agencies.
Main objective: understand the basis of the three forensic modalities (face, fingerprints and DNA) and their concepts of operations when used by law enforcement agencies.
