Olivia Mariani is a PhD student in Michael Liebling's group in the Computational Bioimaging Group at the Idiap research institute. She’s part of the EDEE doctoral program at EPFL. Her research focuses on images of zebrafish larvae, with a special interest in live heart imaging. There are many challenges surrounding live heart imaging, due, among others, to the (fast) movement of the beating heart. Her focus is in particular on point/line-scanning imaging modalities.
She received both his BSc (2011) in life sciences and technologies and her MSc (2013) in Bioengineering, Minor in Biomedical Engineering from EPFL.
